The Met Ball 2009
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Gala is the Oscars of the fashion-world. It is at this time that fashion-savvy celebrities, supermodels and designers come together, dressed in fabulous clothing, to celebrate the launch of the Met's latest exhibit.
This year's theme was the Models as Muse: Embodying Fashion, and was hosted by Marc Jacobs, Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, and Anna Wintour.
The guests wore their best suits and gowns, and some of them made more daring fashion choices: Kate Moss sported a gold lame turban, Rihanna wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit, and Madonna turned heads in her Louis Vuitton ensemble, bunny ears and everything.
The Gossip Girls, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester didn't do to well on their fashion choices, with Lively's teal Versace dress with its high-cut slit up the side, and Meester's floral Vuitton emsemble. Blair and Serena would be disgusted.
Agyness Deyn resembled Marilyn Monroe with a short blonde bob and a silver Burberry gown, and Heidi Klum's very pregnant physique was extremely noticeable in her J. Mendel dress, even though it was meant to hide the bump.
Here are some of the most memorable looks of the night!
Kate Moss with Marc Jacobs in his design.

Mary-Kate Olsen in Christian Lacroix Haute Couture.

Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour in Chanel Haute Couture.
Jessica Biel in Versace Atelier, with Justin Timberlake in William Rast.

Ashley Olsen in The Row.

As seen in British Vogue, January 1990. Shot by Peter Lindbergh.
The theme this year for the Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition is Models as Muse: Embodying Fashion.
The exhibit will explore how models have changed fashion by inspiring the designers who've dressed them, and sometimes designed for them, through seventy looks handpicked from the Costume Institute's collection.
It begins May 4th, with the annual big party, and will be co-chaired by Marc Jacobs, Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, and Anna Wintour.
Can't wait to see it, or don't have access to get to the Met? Here is a preview of the exhibit:

Daria Werbowy in V Magazine
Canadian supermodel Daria Werbowy is one of the many iconic models in Vmagazine's 59th issue: the Summer Swimsuit Issue.
This multiple cover issue gives Sports Illustrated a run for their money, featuring Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova, Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen and Claudia Schiffer in skimpy swimwear, along with Werbowy.
The models were shot by famed photographer, Mario Testino.
V59 is out on newsstands on May 6.
Perhaps this issue will educate Ed Westwick on Testino's work!

Marc, Kate and Justin in Vogue
Marc Jacobs, Kate Moss, and Justin Timberlake have come together to appear in the "Inspiring Beauty" spread for the May 2009 issue of Vogue shot by Annie Lebovitz.
But what do the fashion designer, the supermodel, and the musician have in common other than creating their own lines of clothing?
On May 4th, Justin will be co-hosting of the Metropolitan Museum of Costume Institute Gala along with Kate and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Marc will join the three as the honorary chairs of the benefit.
This year's gala theme is "The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion," and will feature the haute couture and ready-to-wear designs of 70 designers, as well as noted fashion photography.

Freida Pinto: new fashion icon?
Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto seems to be establishing herself as a budding fashionista!
The 24-year-old recently walked down Dolce & Gabbana's runway during fashion week in Milan along with A-listers Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes.
Now, she's taking Paris by storm.
Wearing a white Chanel cocktail dress adorned by layered chains, the actress stole the spotlight from Kate Moss and Lily Allen, who were seated front row along with Pinto at Chanel's Fall 2009 RTW show.
The Slumdog beauty is already rumoured to be the new spokesperson for beauty brand, Estée Lauder, but I suspect partnerships with top designers will happen very soon.

Drew Barrymore in W Magazine
I'm really not a fan of Drew Barrymore's (half the reason I still haven't seen He's Just Not That Into You is because she's in it), but I have to say, she looks absolutely stunning in the April 2009 issue of W magazine.
Sporting Balmain, and her best Kate Moss-impression, Barrymore looks more modelesque than any of her CoverGirl ads.
